Constructed on 1965 By Dr Gamal Mady Abou Elazayem "The Late President of the world federation for mental health" It was constructed on the most modern basis of Psychiatric hospitals from wide rooms, clubs, outdoor clinics, Diagnostic Sections and sections for treatment by work.

The hospital works in all Psychiatric fields like Eg.

• Outpatient clinic 24 hours a day

7- Recovery House: Attached to the hospital a recovery house. The addict is transferred to as a middle stage to get a long with his community. The therapeutic program is under supervision from medical school professors and it follows the guide lines of the International program for recovery houses. Ex-Addicts participate in the programs to help the new addicts.

The electroconvulsive therapy sessions are held 3 times a week (Saturday, Monday, Wednesday) in the hospital at 06:30 AM

Conditions for electroconvulsive therapy session : -

1. Must be described to the patient from a specialized psychiatrist
2. The Patient should be fasting for 6 hours before the session
3. Electrocardiogram for the patient

In the hospital an internal pharmacy finds the treatment for the inpatients, and all psychiatric drugs are available to all patients .
